ABSTRACT

Merrill Lynch has been recycling for over 40 years, starting with the computer punch cards used for data entry of employee and client records. “The Council on the Environment of New York City was formed in 1970 and is a privately funded citizens’ organization in the office of the Mayor. The Janitorial Manager had responsibility for cleaning all Merrill Lynch facilities in Manhattan and northern New Jersey. Merrill Lynch’s Manager of Printing Services says that Pamela Lippe was particularly instrumental in educating “everyone in the market” on closed loop recycling. The 1995 Earth Day conference agenda focuses on developing a sustainable economy in the United States and around the world. In 1993, the Earth Day Closed Loop Recycling Conference used corporate success stories to show participants how closed loop recycling works.
