ABSTRACT
The project of putting women’s theatre work centre stage is exciting and frustrating at the same time. The theatre event is live, fantastically organized and also rather arbitrary, interactive and ephemeral. Books such as this one can only attempt to put down some ideas and images on paper, to make them last. Perhaps this book may offer a spotlight for the women who speak in it and through it. But the spotlight keeps changing focus.
