ABSTRACT

Sharon Morgan is an actress who has worked mostly in Welsh language theatre. She started her career in the early 1970s with Cwmni Theatr Cymru, Wales’s first professional theatre company, and went on to co-found Bara Caws and Hwyl a Fflag, a Welsh-language company which foregrounded sexual politics. She has also acted in mainstream and English-language theatre and TV, particularly after becoming a mother and finding it more difficult to tour. In 1994, she devised and performed a solo piece, Gobeithion Gorffwyll (Desperate Hopes), based on a story by Simone de Beauvoir.
