ABSTRACT
Chapter Summary: The lack of access to health care, the higher rates of chronic illnesses, and the shorter life expectancy among Blacks have a profound effect on the whole society. White doctors have conducted medical “experiments” on Blacks since slavery until today, and we have institutionalized unequal access to health care, and unequal quality of care. How did this happen, and what can we do about it?
