Coherence and mismatch of neo-productivist Rural Policy and Countryside 4.0

This chapter analyses the degree of coherence and mismatch between neo-productivist rural policy and the main components of Countryside 4.0. The chapter emphasises the assessment of existing approaches at the EU level which affect the situation in EU member states. The authors assess proposals for options regarding the continuation of this policy post-2020. Coherence and mismatch are also assessed in terms of the main types of agricultural and non-agricultural EU rural development policy tools.
