ABSTRACT

CQ as a competency of the effective leader is formulated in this chapter. Challenges faced when integrating DCF with CQ as an alternative to national culture are elaborated along with the mitigations measures taken from literature. Moreover, and as we mentioned earlier in the book that looking at knowledge domain (i.e. anthropology or psychology) would not lead to understanding human behaviours; we provide, by linking DCF and CQ, a live example for a link made between three knowledge domains (anthropology, sociology, and psychology). This is because DCF is rooted in anthropology and applied in social structure and CQ is rooted in psychology. By having this done, we respond to earlier calls by Murdock and provide a building block in this regard. We believe that addition to management and CQ’s literature would enlighten many scholars in the future to take this further and build on it, and open doors for many brave steps to be taken in this field.
