This chapter begins with a discussion of the core principle, use evidence to build insights and learn collaboratively. The importance of counter-stories in research, evaluation and continuous improvement is emphasized along with what it means to collaborate with community members and center their voices in the collection and use of data/evidence. This is followed with the discussion of the final three core principles, working toward sustainability and scaling innovation with flexibility for local adaptation, engaging people working within every part of the system and acknowledging today's realities while maintaining hope and imagining justice for tomorrow. Each is introduced and then connected explicitly to early childhood contexts.
