ABSTRACT
The conclusion points out that unlike previous books on this part of China, this book does not only focus on the “elite”. Instead, it argues that the rise of the lineage represented a change in world view that was accessible to much larger populations than the word “elite” might suggest. It was a change that pervaded all of society.
