ABSTRACT
Chapter 4 discusses aspects of human impact in the Anthropocene Epoch and possible solutions. It examines population and population growth, and economics, including neoclassical economics, the growth model, ecological economics, and sustainable consumption. It then examines social issues and possible solutions including fragile states, sustainable development, governance at multiple scales, and governance of commons.
