ABSTRACT
The famous Dr Malthus thought that population would multiply faster than food production could grow. He was not primarily concerned with the finite size of the world but that, by increasing more rapidly than food supplies, the population would condemn itself to starvation. If the non-Europeans of the world would be content with a view dominated by the backs of the Europeans they are following, all would be well for the technocrats. In a world full of Man, by-products put out by Man will be distributed more widely by the atmosphere than in any other way, and it will be necessary to use the atmosphere for this purpose to an ever-greater extent. The atmosphere alone destroys its blemishes. Because of its power to cleanse itself it seems likely to remain the last earthly stronghold of nature uncontrolled by Man.
