The manuscript is MS 1989: 161. 17 in the Wordsworth Library, Dove Cottage, Grasmere. It consists of a single sheet of unwatermarked white paper 376 by 230 mm., folded once to make a pair of geminate leaves each 188 by 230 mm., all four sides of which are written in black ink. A passage has also been squeezed vertically into the strip of empty space running up the inner side of the fold.
