[Verbal Inspiration]

The manuscript is in the Wordsworth Library, Grasmere, as MS 1989:161.74 It is a single sheet, unwatermarked, folded once to make two geminate leaves, of which 1 recto and verso and 2 recto are written in black ink, 2 verso being left blank. After a list of Scottish expressions it consists mainly of notes on religious questions such as the inspired nature of the Bible, its text and its translations. Parts of it have been published in PW I, pp. 241–2.
