[The Physical and the Moral]

The manuscript is in the Berg Collection of the New York Public Library as ‘Moral and Practical’ f.1. It is a single sheet written on both sides. Parts of the manuscript are almost illegible. The reference to the Times of 31 December 1842 makes a date early in 1843 almost certain.
