ABSTRACT
This chapter focuses on chi-square to allow the analysis of frequency data. The chapter will focus on the use of chi-square as both a test of independence and a goodness of fit. It details step by step the SPSS process and menu selections and takes the reader through the output. On completion, readers will be able to generate crosstabulations and chi-square and accurately interpret the SPSS outputs in order to make judgements about the patterns identified in a dataset.
