ABSTRACT

This chapter addresses the question: What ped-andragogies should be considered in order to teach IL as a threshold concept of RL? To contextualise the ped-andragogical approaches, the chapter begins by drawing attention to student (IL) behaviours during teamwork assignments/projects, providing examples from case studies. We also discuss the various ped-andragogies, and in doing so amongst other methods we discuss the use of the IL definitional framework, gaming, as well as journaling. We conclude that IL is a sensitive subject and therefore requires critical and alternative approaches to LMD.
