ABSTRACT

The reform and opening up of People’s Republic of China in 1980 led to an unprecedented development of the nation by enhancing national strengths and global influence in the recent decades. China's peaceful development and economic growth and its capability to overcome a financial crisis offered a global leadership role to it. By focusing on common objectives such as global growth and prosperity, China and the United States can create and encourage a relationship that would benefit both countries and the rest of the world as well and greatly enhance the prospect of Sino-US joint ventures in the ongoing century. In the present global scenario, economic and trade relations between the United States and China are immensely momentous due to the convolutedness of cooperation and the hugeness of economies part of it. By the beginning of the 21st century, the interdependence of the US and Chinese economies become increasingly multifaceted, complex, and volatile to maintain stable US–China relations.
