ABSTRACT

From a Jungian Coaching point of view, it would be advisable to always keep in mind four options of responses for both men or women facing life or professional challenges. If the coachee is a woman – she may think, react, or process either from what one attributes as “positive Feminine” or “negative Feminine”, or “positive Animus”, or “negative Animus” modes of behaviors. The Anima/Feminine Principle stands for a “Being” approach and the Animus/Masculine Principle stands for a “Doing” approach to life. The Feminine and Masculine Principles are bipolar archetypes, and both have positive and negative traits. There are many practical coaching insights (and techniques) for the immense Anima/Feminine principle, yet first one must understand the origin of this concept, how it developed historically, and how it can be applied practically even nowadays on the individual and corporate coaching levels.
