ABSTRACT
This chapter covers the practical part concerning how the Cuban LCB units together with the State Security organs located, surrounded and annihilated counterrevolutionary armed bands in the country during 1963. The chapter also covers the U.S. support to these groups with weapons and personal within the framework of the “Integrated Covert Action Program” and how the activities of the Cuban forces nearly extinguished these bands during 1963. The chapter also covers how the activities of the Cuban organs of State Security and military counterintelligence detected, penetrated, misinformed and cut off subversive, terrorist and espionage activities of organizations, groups and networks of counterrevolutionaries that acted in the interior of the country.
