ABSTRACT
This chapter explains how to complete the online version of the questionnaire. The questions in the Sensory Questionnaire were designed to find out the child's response to sensory stimuli. Parents' and carers' input into the Sensory Questionnaire is invaluable; however, the questionnaire should also be completed by any adult who is working with the child. Sharing the questionnaire and discussing the results of the questionnaire with all adults caring and working with the child will raise awareness of the child's current reaction to experiences and enable one to identify both the child's sensory preferences and areas that impact most on their learning. Autistic children often react differently in different environments, so comparing the results from the Sensory Questionnaires that have been completed by people who see the child in different settings can help to pinpoint sensory factors that may be impacting on the child.
