ABSTRACT

This chapter opens with a reflective piece written by one of the early career teachers at the end of this project. It highlights 'the lessons learnt' to not only imagine new and innovative ways forward for agentive educators but for the whole community to see teachers as empowered agents of change who are central drivers of ESE practices. This book concludes by summarising the two key themes, which were generated through the stories of the 11 early career teachers and the responses of the participating community partners, the community leaders and the researchers. Additionally, the early career teachers embraced the power of being with like-minded colleagues within the community of practice workshops. The individual methodological approaches used in the project are not new to educational research. The research by design processes provided the iterative framework with a series of modified and adapted ‘interventions’ co-constructed between the participants, community partners and researchers running throughout the project.
