ABSTRACT
This chapter highlights the importance of two issues: critically reflective practice among family literacy practitioners and parent leadership in family literacy programs. The chapter also discusses family literacy during the COVID-19 pandemic and ends by identifying lingering concerns (inadequate funding and heightened accountability pressures) and issues that deserve further attention, such as antiracist work in family literacy and research on international programs, among other topics.
