ABSTRACT
6 Uniformity of cataloguing rules and practices is essential to organize serials information for retrieval in a union catalogue. Whether this is produced in print or microform, or made available in on-line display, the problem of integrating multiple bibliographic records into one consistent and unified catalogue has to be solved.
