ABSTRACT
This chapter begins with an account of Srinivas’s family and neighbourhood, his primary and secondary education, and his studies as an undergraduate in a college in the city of Mysore in South India. This is followed by narration of Srinivas’s academic work in different phases: Bombay phase, Oxford phase, Baroda phase, Delhi phase, and Bangalore phase. The chapter ends with an account of Srinivas’s ‘Contribution to Professional Associations’ and ‘A Synoptic View of Scholarly Work’.
