ABSTRACT

Children with developmental visuospatial disorder may face difficulties in the school context, presenting troubles in different academic areas and in social relations with peers. This chapter will offer an overview of optimal environments and of how one might develop or adapt intervention strategies by specifically considering the school setting. General intervention guidelines on how to help children with developmental visuospatial disorder best succeed at school will be suggested. In addition, a summary of the compensatory accommodations and bypass strategies that teachers and educators might use with students with developmental visuospatial disorder will be provided.
