ABSTRACT
She was the daughter of Juno, begot without a father, only by eating of lettuce; for Juno being invited to a feast by Apollo into Jupiters house, shee presently conceived by feeding upon lettuce, and bare this Hebe, who for her beauty, was made Jupiters cup bearer, till she disgraced her self by a fall in Jupiters presence at a feast, 5 where shee discovered her nakednesse, by which means shee lost her office, and Ganymed was chosen in her room.
