ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses specific steps that are critical for a successful study plan, exam preparation really needs to begin on the very first day of the class. Sometimes a student can acquire some valuable tips from friends about exam preparation. However, students’ comments also can negatively impact self-confidence if a student assumes that other students better understand the content or know more about exam preparation. Exam questions come from many different sources. Omitting any of the following sources can result in incomplete information for exam preparation. In a US history exam fundamental ideas might be about national identity, migration and settlement, politics and power, the relationship of the United States with the world, and other core ideas. Students’ comments also can negatively impact self-confidence if a student assumes that other students better understand the content or know more about exam preparation.
