ABSTRACT

This chapter addresses a specific, but vital aspect of deception analysis. An act of true deception always connotes purpose and intentionality. Understanding the possibility of involuntary distortion in every instance of dissimilation is an important and necessary checkpoint for the forensic evaluator.
