ABSTRACT
As we saw in § 1.4.1 (pp. 18–19), at present we know Ea’s message in the Gilgameš Flood story only from manuscripts of the Neo-Assyrian period. Most of them are from Assurbanipal’s libraries at Kuyunjik, so we have essentially been analysing the message as it was known at Kuyunjik.
