ABSTRACT
In arguing that Ea’s message is bitextual, this book essentially argues that, through an unusually elaborate and sophisticated conglomeration of puns, or word-plays (the two terms are here used synonymously; for a definition see above with fnn. 83 and 84), the message simultaneously articulates different utterances with different senses.
