Findings and analysis Teacher language attitudes

This is the first of three analysis chapters. It is concerned exclusively with the attitudinal data from the on-line teacher surveys and explores the teachers’ language beliefs and normative understandings. As such, it provides a useful platform from which to investigate the teachers’ target English use in the later corpus analyses.
