ABSTRACT
This chapter deals with the quantitative corpus findings relating to frequencies and distribution. Further comparative analyses are also made across discourse genres and varieties to establish the significance of the trends uncovered. Where relevant, similar analyses are undertaken in relation to any further NS variants observed in the corpus data and with the SE version. Correlations between the attitudinal findings and the initial corpus findings are discussed.
