ABSTRACT
For Units 1–5, answers are in pinyin only unless they are character exercises. In Units 6, 7 and 8, answers are in both pinyin and characters except that a few speaking and translation exercises are in pinyin only. From Unit 9 onwards, pinyin and characters are presented together.
