ABSTRACT

This chapter introduces the student’s study skills folders and looks specifically at how different methods of revision can be allocated to the three primary senses we use to acquire information. These primary senses are Visual, Auditory and Kinaesthetic. The students are presented with a survey made up of multiple-choice questions about a situation that best resonates with them. Each statement is based on either a Visual, Auditory or Kinaesthetic experience. Students are asked to look in their folders and discuss the contents with each other. Each folder should also contain a handout with the stationery listed. Discuss how the different items might be used to revise, emphasising links between the method of revision and whether this links to one of the senses.
