ABSTRACT
The process of collecting information in Zaporizhzhya about Zaporizhzhya is very instructive about society and economy o f Zaporizhzhya. First o f all hardly anything has been written about contemporary society and economy o f the town or region. This is surprising given the fact that Zaporizhzhya province has more than two million inhabitants and has experienced such dramatic changes recently. Practically all the published sources for this book are newspaper articles.
