ABSTRACT
The emerging approach is that an entirely new concept is required and that there is a vital need for improved analysis with respect to the assessment of technological issues. Problem solving is a new parameter in the technological discussion and creates possibilities for redesigning the workplace, and offer solutions, which arise through the adoption of information systems and their impact on labor. A further key aspect in this work are the case studies in French hospitals. All institutions had made or were planning to make investments in computing equipment, that besides handling financial management tasks, could also provide support for the organization of a patient’s hospitalization from the perspective of a medical-technician or the clinician. Heinz Hulsmann stated clearly the direction which sociological work takes when examining technology and its shaping. The innovative idea is that Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW) integrates tools for working teams.
