ABSTRACT

With the information set forth in the previous chapters, producers and marketers can develop strategies on how to position their products in the marketplace. Consumers can make purchasing decisions that reflect their principles and beliefs. The American marketplace thrives on the development of new products, product choices, and price competition. The producers of our food animals and the marketers of meat and animal products are continually responding to market forces in performing their business activities, and a multitude of products offers consumers choices in expressing their values through purchases of food products.
