ABSTRACT

The author found himself weighted down by the “mind” side of the triad of mind, heart and activity. As scholars the people all face challenges in writing literature reviews and conceptual frameworks. There is an audacity to the presumption that anyone can put ideas into their proper place: fixing, ordering, labeling and properly crediting constructs that really nobody owns. Finding commonalities and interconnections may help the reader better understand what all of these thinkers are trying to point to – an understanding that does not fit easily into words and that cannot be reduced to a label or a brand. Thinking about scholarship in this way helped the people to read generously. It is also, arguably, what the people need in order to work in coalition in the world in order to imagine and bring into being a different one.
