ABSTRACT
The British Virgin Islands are a colony of the UK. However, their legal deposit legislation does not reflect their political status, nor does it share any similarity with its nearest neighbour, the Virgin Islands of the United States. The legal deposit law states simply that: ‘The library shall be a legal depository for all government publications, annual, departmental, or otherwise, and any other publications published in the Virgin Islands.’.
