Today, we’re going to explore what I call ‘external leveling’: determining how much of what needs to be accomplished in each hour, day, week, month, quarter, and year. Once we’ve figured out the patterns in our customer demand, we can smooth out the way we do our work by being very deliberate about what type of work we do, when we do it, and how much of it we do per time increment.
