ABSTRACT

At a personal level, creativity exhibited significant correlations with the majority of other dispositions and feelings. However, analysis of reciprocal effects revealed that creativity received significant positive effects from gratitude, religion value, and self-esteem, and significant negative effects from optimism, study value, and just world belief. At the same time, the analysis showed that creativity sent significant positive effects on gratitude and religion value and significant negative effects on optimism and study value. On the consequentialist account, creativity is favorable in sustaining gratitude, but is unfavorable in impeding optimism and study value. Meanwhile, the deontological account regards creativity as a favorable outcome of gratitude, religion value, and self-esteem, but as an unfavorable outcome of low optimism and study value.
