ABSTRACT

This chapter explores the important aspect of leadership vision. Visions on their own can be the basis for significant problems. The history books contain countless examples of individuals who have become obsessed with a personal vision of the future which is divorced from the current direction in which progress is being made. Mind mapping is a process which seeks to improve the recall ability using a process of association. Created in the late 1960s by Tony Buzan, it has helped literally thousands of individuals to develop their mental skills in terms of memory and creativity. Brainstorming is perhaps the most well known of the deliberate approaches to tapping into the creative resources of a group of people. Essentially, the idea is to pull together a group of people to generate as many ideas as possible on solutions to a problem.
