ABSTRACT
This chapter looks at innovative views of the design process in general and explains how a variety of design fields promote innovative thinking. It explores design thinking as well as issues of design variation and complexity. The chapter also suggests ways to participate in the instructional design community in order to form your own personal learning network and increase your expertise in the field.
