ABSTRACT

The notion of creativity is practically never applied in modern economic theory. The relation of work and creativity is coming to the forefront today as the role of the individual becomes in many respects more important than the relations between classes and social groups, to which most economists have traditionally devoted their work. The fundamental distinction between instinctive work and labour and between labour and creativity is to be found in the motive that determines the structure and main characteristics of each of those types of activity. The development of the modern economy, according to its internal laws, with each year becomes increasingly dependent on human creative activity. The production of material goods and services has invariably been of a collective nature throughout the various periods of the development of humanity People were forced to pool their efforts in order to carry out their aim of transforming their environment.
