ABSTRACT
Planning with a Culturally Responsive Education mindset centers the understandings that are the true targets for instruction and draws on the schema and unique identity markers of students in order to engineer moments of authentic rigor and engagement for all. This chapter discusses five guiding questions that should be consulted in planning spaces to regularly create opportunities for all students to leverage their own concepts and identities in the context of learning.
