ABSTRACT

There are countless techniques and strategies that can be employed in culturally responsive learning experiences. This chapter tells the stories of ten strategies and how they can be implemented in classroom instruction. The strategies presented build on many longstanding practices of effective teaching, and none are intended to be thought of as unilaterally applicable outside of the implementation of broader approaches that leverage an Equity mindset. The strategies demonstrate how the themes of Culturally Responsive Education intersect with Equity-minded planning in order to yield rigorous and engaging learning experiences for students.
