ABSTRACT
This chapter reviews some of the many ways Previz can be used in video content pre-production. The various tools used in Previz require specialized skills and great care must be exercised when sharing Previz results within the content delivery workflow. The presentation of Previz to different parts of the production team will require different kinds of software. For content teams, Previz is a means of sharing preview opportunities within the delivery specification and templates provided. For an event’s producers and designers, Previz is a simple and informative experience used to share in-progress content for approval. 3D Previz of video content on the set provides a tremendous advance in content preview and approval; however, one thing lacking is a representation of scale. VR Previz is an experience that puts the viewer inside the visualizer, giving them a more natural experience of scale.
