ABSTRACT

With the design raster, the creative team is free to think about the scenic space as one consistent working environment, unconcerned about variances in pixel densities across multiple screens. There are three primary teams who work together to create the screens presentation in a live event: content production, media operations, and screens engineering. The goal of the media operations team is to keep the creative teams focused on the creative and not preoccupied by the mechanics of how their finished product will be delivered to screen. The first feature of the content delivery workflow is a single raster outlining all screens, representing the set as if it were unwrapped or flattened. Pixel location on a video file does not determine where that same pixel sits on the signal path. A design raster is the starting point for Content teams to learn the scenic screen layout and highlight critical screens around the set that will be the primary audience focus.
