ABSTRACT

In this chapter, the authors review ways to discover female entrepreneurs business idea, use their life’s journey to hone their business idea, look externally for their business idea, and validate their business idea. Some of authors interviewees knew that they wanted to be an entrepreneur but didn’t know what business they wanted to be in or what their business idea would be. Rebekah Hall and Victoria Mellor are two examples of entrepreneurs who took time out and surrounded themselves with interesting people before finding their business idea. Rebekah Hall, founder of Botanic Lab, is a great example of someone who always knew that she wanted to be an entrepreneur but didn’t know in which business area or what her business idea would be. Working with an entrepreneur helped build her confidence, learn entrepreneurial techniques, increase her risk appetite, make great connections and hone her potential business ideas.
