87This chapter covers the preparation for a first fitting of the waistcoat, trousers and jacket once all the cut out pieces are marked up. It takes you through the initial preparation and assembly of each garment ready to be fitted including preparation of canvases and breast felt, basting techniques and a basic sleeve. It covers general points on the fitting process, how to plan for it and what to expect. It then continues through the fitting of each garment, how to approach each stage and what to look out for as you fit.
