ABSTRACT
The first example of its kind, the Psychoanalytic Polyclinic was established specifically to provide analytic treatment to a wide public. The idea in the mind of its founders was that of making treatment accessible to those who would never have been able to afford it, and its coming to be was thanks to the work of a cohesive group of analysts Abraham had encouraged to collaborate with him.
